Thanks to a grant and access to camping gear from Washington Trails Association we’d love you to join Sequoia TR on our overnight tent camping trip!
We will be sleeping on the ground in tents at Seaquest State Park group site. Campers will need to be independent with personal care needs, keep track of their belongings, and be able to stay with the group. Sequoia TR will provide access to tents and gear for folks who need it.
Tuesday dinner through Thursday lunch is provided for you. Transportation to and from camp is provided, and it is also ok for you to drive your own vehicle and follow the group.
For campers who need direct assistance (not just verbal cues) in the bathroom, assistance with injected medicine (not just oral medication), or campers who cannot follow directions and stay with the group please sign up with your family or caregiver. We also ask if your camper is under 18 years old they camp with family.
Activities include hanging out at camp in nature, exploring the local area, easy nature walks, bird watching, camp games, and stories by the camp fire. Meet at Manitou Park Presbyterian Church 6613 S Cheyenne Street, Tacoma, WA 98409 Saturday at 1:00pm after lunch (or pack a lunch) and ride in the van, or follow us.
Please complete the final registration form! We need to know if you are individual camping or coming with your family/group. The registration fee for family is for the whole family not each individual family member. We also would like to know if you need gear, and anything we need to know about your medications. Send it back to kodi@sequoiatr.org or mail it to 6613 S. Cheyenne St, Tacoma, WA 98409.
